The reception desk of a calm med spa, a coordinator greeting a client, the treatment room visible through an open door

Your consult requests answered within the hour. Every treatment turned into a rebooking by morning.

A small crew of AI agents takes the desk work off your week: the reply to every consult request, the check-in after every treatment, and the package and membership dates nobody should have to carry in their head. All of it in your voice, none of it sent until you say so, and your front desk gets back to the people in the room.

Built for med spas and aesthetic practices.

Why this exists

Most med spas run on a small team and a full book. The injector is in a treatment room, the front desk is checking someone in, and the phone, the DMs, the website form, and the inbox are all asking the same two questions at once: can I get in this week, and what does it cost? Very few spas have the help the job needs: someone on the consult requests, someone on the follow-ups after every treatment, someone watching the packages and memberships, someone answering the reviews. The reason is margins, almost never effort. That kind of help is a salary, and the money goes into the providers, the devices, and the rent, in that order.

A consult request comes in at 9 p.m. from an ad and gets a reply at 11 the next morning, after she's booked somewhere else. A client finishes a series and nobody suggests the next one. A membership lapses because nobody saw the date. A three-star review sits unanswered for a week. None of it is hard. There's just too much of it, and all of it waits for the same two people.

At some point we stopped thinking the answer was “find the money for one more salary” and started thinking there had to be a better way for a spa to support itself. That's what Second Unit is.

It isn't for every spa. If you already have the right people around you, you don't need this. If you don't, and your front desk is carrying all of it, we built this for you.

The consult request that waits until morning is already booked somewhere else. She was serious at 9 p.m. By 10 she'd found a spa that answered.

The same crew we run our own business on

Second Unit is built and run by Noettic Labs, a Los Angeles studio that builds with AI to solve real business problems. We build products that do real work, and we install crews that do it inside your business: the quotes, the follow-ups, the renewals, the records, the reports, the paperwork that keeps a company moving and keeps its best people from doing any of it.

The crew on this page is the system we use to run our own business. We sat down with the people doing the best work with agents, kept what held up under a real week, and wrote it into the job cards and rules every crew ships with. An install is that system, set up on your business, by hand, on a call.

Second Unit is one of several products from Noettic Labs. See what else we've built.

Second Unit is a service. There's no software for you to learn. We install a small crew of AI agents in your own accounts, one job each, and train each one on how your spa works: your voice, your menu and prices, your providers, your rules. A consult desk that drafts a reply to every request within the hour. A follow-up agent that checks in after every treatment and drafts the rebooking note in the right week. A tracker that watches every package and membership and never lets a date slip past. Between them they take hours of desk work off every week, and you approve every one before it goes out.

A word about AI, and about health. These are tools for the desk work. They answer the inquiry, keep the records current, and draft the paperwork. They never give treatment advice, never discuss a client's results or history, and never move health information outside the systems you already use. The provider's judgment stays with the provider.

The name comes from film. On a set, the second unit shoots everything that doesn't need the director: the establishing shots, the inserts, the driving scenes. The director keeps the scenes that need them. Same deal here. The agents take the replies, the check-ins, and the dates. You keep the consult, the room, and the client.

ToPriya N.SubjectRe: Lip filler consult, this week?

Priya, thanks for reaching out. Yes, we have consult openings this week: Thursday at 2:15 and Friday at 11:00 with Jenna, our lead injector. A consult is 30 minutes and complimentary, and if you'd like to go ahead the same day we usually can.

Lip filler starts at $650 per syringe, and Jenna will walk you through what's right for you at the consult. Here's a link to hold a time: book a consult.

Consult Desk

Every consult request from your website, your inbox, and the DMs you forward gets a drafted reply within the hour, in your voice, with the open times and the menu price. It knows what may be quoted and what waits for the provider. It flags anyone who mentions a medical condition to a person the same hour.

Reads: your inbox, your menu, your open times. Writes: a draft, a note in your client list. Never: sends, gives treatment advice.

Rebooking Follow-up

Each morning the agent reads yesterday's book, drafts a check-in for every client at the interval you set, and writes the rebooking note for the week the next session is due. Nobody who finishes a series goes quiet.

Reads: yesterday's schedule, your client list, your intervals. Writes: check-in drafts, rebooking dates. Never: gives aftercare advice beyond your approved sheet, sends.

ToDaniel R.SubjectTwo sessions left on your laser package

Hi Daniel,

A quick note from Lumen. You have two sessions left on your six-session laser package, and the package is valid through the 28th. Thursday evenings have openings in the next two weeks if either works for you.

If you'd like to keep going after that, the renewal is the same price as the first package.

Best,
Maya

Package Tracker

Every package, series, and membership goes into one record. The agent watches the sessions used, the expiry dates, and the renewal windows, and drafts the note two weeks out. You stop finding out when the client asks.

Reads: the sales record, the schedule. Writes: the record, a reminder, a draft. Never: changes a price, a package, or a charge.

Meet the crew

Each agent is set up for one job, the way you'd brief a new front-desk hire on day one: the instructions for that job, the rules it works inside, the skills it needs, and nothing else. Your consult desk knows your menu. Your follow-up agent knows your intervals. Your tracker knows every package by name.

Start with one. Add the next when you're ready. The Second Unit Lead comes with any setup and ties them together.

Once you say yes: what you get in the first week

Nothing is left for you to figure out. This is what we set up, and when.

  1. Day 1Installed and Running.

Your Second Unit Lead and your Consult Desk are set up on your own accounts, interviewed on your voice, your menu, and your rules, and one real consult request is answered before we end the call.

  2. Day 2The Inbox Stops Waiting on the Front Desk.

Every new request has a drafted reply within about an hour, with open times and the menu price. Your front desk reads, edits if they like, and sends.

  3. Day 3First Check-in.

We read the week's drafts together, note what you changed, and tighten the rules so the next ones need less of your hand.

  4. Day 7Your First Number.

How many drafts went out untouched. It's the one figure we track from here, and it tells you whether this is giving your front desk its day back.

Have a full Saturday in week one? Your Rebooking Follow-up reads the book Sunday morning and the check-ins are drafted before you've opened.

How it works

  1. Assessment.

A free 45-minute call. We find the tasks that are eating your front desk's week and match them to the agent that can take them over.

  2. Install.

Everything works from day one, and you don't set up a thing alone. We help you sign up for Grok Bot, and for Notion if you don't have it yet, both on your own accounts. Then, in one screen share, we install the agents, connect your email and calendar from your side, and run the interview that teaches them your voice, your menu, your providers, and your rules. We walk you through the whole thing and check every piece before we hand them off to you.

    Runs on
  3. Two Weeks of Tuning.

We read the drafts with you every few days and tighten the agent until most go out with no edits. Then a monthly check-in, and the next agent setup when you want it.

  4. Most med spas are running within a week of the assessment.

$100 to $750 a month per agent, scaled the same way. A monthly check-in, tuning as your spa changes, support when something's off, and the next agent when you want it. Ninety days minimum, then month to month with 30 days' notice.

Setup Only

No monthly fee. Your Second Unit Lead agent walks you through changes to the other agents yourself, and when you'd rather we did it, we're on call by the hour.

The assessment call is free, and there's nothing to decide until it's done. You pay for your own software: about $30 a month for Grok Bot and about $10 a month per seat for Notion, paid to them, not to us.

What the agents won't do

What changes

The consult request that came in at 9 p.m. has a reply in your drafts before you open. Friday's book is eleven check-ins on Saturday morning, and your front desk sends them between clients. The package conversation happens two weeks early instead of after it expired.

You still write the important emails. You just stop writing all of them.
